Jamaica
It is January 21, 2020 and we are at port in Falmouth, Jamaica. We have been to the island before (March 1, 2017) but we stopped at the port in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. I think the Falmouth port is the nicer of the two. Jamaica is the third largest island in the Caribbean. It lies between latitudes 17° and 19°N, and longitudes 76° and 79°W.
The climate in Jamaica is tropical, with hot and humid weather, although higher inland regions are more temperate. Jamaica lies in the hurricane belt of the Atlantic Ocean and the island has been hit by several hurricanes (1951-Hurricane Charlie; 1988-Hurricane Gilbert; 2004-Hurricane Ivan; 2007-Hurricane Dean).
Tourist attractions include: Doctors Cave Beach in Montego Bay, Dunn's River Falls in St. Ann, YS Falls in St. Elizabeth, the Blue Lagoon in Portland (believed to be the crater of an extinct volcano).
