Antelope-horns is a milkweed plant that spreads out along the ground and grows eight to twenty-four inches in height. It is an inhabitant of the South Texas Plains in rocky or sandy soils of prairies, pastures, plains, hillsides, brushlands, and woodlands. This plant is poisonous yet used for medicinal purposes or boiled like okra or chewed as gum. |
