| Old Man's Beard is a vine found growing on fencelines and over shrubs and rocks. It grows in well drained soil of the Edwards Plateau and South Texas Plains. The leaves are 1/2 to 2 inches long with toothed edges. The yellow-green flower has no petals. Instead, it has sepals that measure 1/2 to 1 inch in diameter. The seeds are attached to silky hairs which resembles an Old Man's Beard. Old Man's Beard bloom from March to September. | |
