Small Flower Gaura can be found throughout Texas in weedy or cultivated lands. It is a rank, erect annual that grows up to six feet tall. The leaves are from 3/4 to five inches long and up tp 1 1/2 inches wide. The flower consists of four white to pink petals spreading upward and eight red anthers on white filaments pointing downward. Small Flower Gaura usually opens near sunset or sometimes near sunrise and flowers in the spring.
