Carolina Geranium can be found in the South Texas Plains and Edwards Plateau in open, grassy areas. It is a low, sprawling annual that reaches a height of six to ten inches. The leaves are kidney-shaped and deeply lobed. The flowers are small, white to pink in color and less than 1/4 inch wide. Carolina Geranium blooms from March to May. The leaves are eaten by white-tailed deer, cattle, and Rio Grande turkeys, and the seeds are consumed by mourning doves. |
