| Common Honey Locust is a tree with thorns and an open canopy. It can reach one-hundred feet in height and it grows in wet fertile soils of the South Texas Plains and the Edwards Plateau. It flowers from May to June and the wood from this plant is heavy, bendy and sturdy. The flowers are used by bees for pollen and the fruit is eaten by cattle, white-tailed deer, squirrels, and rabbits. | |
