Yellow Spiny Daisy is an upright to sprawling perennial that reaches a height of 4 to 8 inches. It can be found growing in dry sandy or rocky soils of the Edwards Plateau and South Texas Plains. The leaves have a spiny bristle on the tip of each lobe, giving it its name. The flower head consists of several yellow ray and disk flowers and measures approximately 1 inch in diameter. Yellow Spiny Daisy blooms from May to October.
