Burro-brush can be found growing in sandy washes of the Edwards Plateau. It is the only plant of this family found in Texas. This multi-branched shrub can reach a height of 12 feet and has very narrow leaves. The male and female flowers are an off-white color and are found in clusters. Burro-brush blooms between September and October.
