Lindheimer Indigo can be found growing in dry limestones soil of the Edwards Plateau. This gray to whitish, upright shrub can reach a height of two to six feet. The leaves are covered with small hairs and have 7 to 15 small leaflets, each being 1/3 to 3/4 inches long. The green to white or reddish flowers are found on long stalks and are approximately 1/4 to 3/4 inches in length. Lindheimer Indigo blooms from June to August. The fruits are 1/3 to 3/4 inches long and are covered with very small hairs. |
