Silver bladderpod can be found in calcareous and sandy soils of the Edwards Plateau and South Texas Plains. It grows to one inch in height and is finely pubescent. The basal leaves are approximately 3 inches long and the leaves on the stem are 1/2 to 3/4 inch long. The flowers are yellow and reach 1/4 to 3/4 inch in diameter. Silver bladderpod blooms from March to May. The seeds are eaten by scaled quail and the leaves are eaten by white-tailed deer. |
