Engelmann's Bladderpod can be found in calcareous soils of the Edwards Plateau and South Texas Plains. It grows eighteen inches tall and is covered with hairs giving it a gray-greenish appearance. The leaves can be up to 2 1/2 inches long. The yellow flowers bloom from March to May.
