| White Bladderpod is an upright or sprawling, hairy annual reaching 20 inches in height. The flowers reach 3/4 inch in diameter and consist of four petals. The leaves are 1/2 to 2 inches long and are coarsely toothed. The small, roundish, ball-like fruit is eaten by larvae of the orangetip butterfly. White Bladderpods commonly grow on sandy soils but are also found on calcareous and clay soils. This plant grows in the South Texas Plains and the Edwards Plateau region and blooms from March through May. | |
