Texas Star is a hairy, upright, and annual plant that grows 4-12 inches high. The flower heads are yellow in color and consist of 5 ray flowers with 2 or 3 times as many disk flowers. The leaves can be between 2 or 3 inches in length and are tapered at both ends. The Texas Star blooms from March to May and can be found in the sandy or rocky soils of the Edwards Plateau region. |
