| White Evening Primrose can be found in various soils of the Edwards Plateau and South Texas Plains. It is an upright to sprawling perennial that is six to twenty-four inches tall. The leaves are 1 1/2 to 3 inches long and the dark rosy-pink to white flower is approximately 2 to 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Evening primroses are also known as buttercups because of the cup shape of the flowers and the butter-colored pollen that is left on the face when smelling the flower. White Evening Primrose blooms from March to July. The leaves are eaten by white-tailed deer and Rio Grande turkeys. |
