Cedar Sage is found in rocky, shaded woods of the Edwards Plateau. It is an upright to semi-reclining perennial that reaches a height of one to two feet. The heart-shaped leaves have small hairs and scalloped margins. The bright red flowers are 1 to 1 1/4 inches long and bloom from March to July.
