This grass has wavy leaves with white margins and grows eight to fifteen inches tall. Tumblegrass grows in disturbed clay to clay loam soils of the South Texas Plains and the Edwards Plateau. The grass will flower when favorable conditions allow. It has poor forage value for both wildlife and livestock.
