| The Common Dandelion is a low, perennial herb that is known as a pest in most lawns. The flower head is 1/2 to 1 inch in diameter and consists of 100-200 yellow ray flowers. The numerous and alternating leaves can grow anywhere from 2-16 inches in length and are shallowly to deeply lobed. The Common Dandelion grows in all types of soils and can be found in the South Texas Plains and Edwards Plateau regions. It blooms almost all year long. | |
