Seedling and vegetative plants.  Key characteristics: leaves and stems are hairless, thick, fleshy and very succulent.  Stems are reddish-brown and round.

Flowering plants.  Key characteristics: plants fall over to the ground but do not root at the nodes.

Flowers.  Key characteristics: yellow.

Seed.  Seed have a rough surface, are ovate-shaped and slightly less than 1.0 mm in diameter.

Life cycle: summer annual.
