Alfalfa Weevil Larval Damage

Skeletonized leaves are typical symptoms of alfalfa weevil feeding.  Larvae tend to consume the leaf tissues between the veins, leaving this appearance.  When the damaged leaves are dry, they create a silver, frosted appearance over the field.
