Potato Leafhopper Yellowing  

The susceptible variety in the center and plants along the front illustrate potato leafhopper yellowing of traditional alfalfa varieties.  The plots of green alfalfa on both sides are varieties released in 1997 with resistance to leafhopper yellowing (chlorosis).
