Variety Test

A variety test consisting of 24 varieties and experimental strains appears to be uniform.  In this test some varieties produced 20% more yield than others, yet no difference is seen.  It is difficult to "see" differences of less than 20%.  This a good reason that varieties should be tested under controlled conditions.
