Irrigation

Center-pivot irrigation systems move in a circle (sometimes more than a 1/4 mile radius) while applying water.  A center-pivot irrigation system requires less labor than hand-moved pipe or side-roll systems but have a higher initial investment.  The system shown allows much water loss through evaporation because the water is shot up into the air instead of dribbled under low pressure to the crop.
