Dodder Contaminated Alfalfa Seed

Dodder seed is round while alfalfa seed is kidney-shaped.  Seed of dodder, a parasitic plant without chlorophyll, are about the same diameter and density as alfalfa seed.  They are difficult to remove from contaminated alfalfa seed lots.
