Rescuegrass (Bromus catharticus)

Pedicelled spikelets 4- to 9- flowered, up to 1 3/4 inch long, 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide.  First glume 1/4 to 1/2 inch long, second longer than first.  Lemma laterally flattened and sharply keeled, glabrous or pubescent, awnless (or only beaked) and palea similar to lemma, but shorter.
