Wheat in Alfalfa  

Wheat is the most common crop preceding alfalfa in Oklahoma, and wheat seedlings are some of the most serious weeds in new alfalfa stands.  Wheat is very competitive and should be controlled by working the soil before sowing alfalfa or with post-emergent herbicides.
