Hedge Mustard (Sisymbrium officinale) Flowering plant as seen in May and June. Plants can be 1 to 4 feet tall. Leaves divided with coarse, pointed teeth. Lower leaves 4 to 10 inches long, often in form of rosette; upper leaves much smaller. Flowers yellow, 4-petaled and at the tips of elongated pod-bearing branches. At maturity fruit stem-like pod that tends to parallel the fruiting stem. |
