OKLAHOMA ALFALFA PRODUCTION CALENDAR

Variegated Cutworm

Hatching begins in April and feeding of small larvae occurs in the first crop. Serious damage may be caused by feeding of large larvae on regrowth after first harvest. Larvae feed primarily at night and hide in soil or under windrows of hay during daytime hours.
