FROSTED ALFALFA? | |
Normally by mid
fall we have had enough cold temperatures to make old alfalfa stems look pretty frosted.
When this does not happen the alfalfa may stay green all winter and keeps growing except
when temperatures dip toward 5-10o. Because of this, watch out for bloat when
grazing and be especially careful with the "dormant season" herbicides.
