Downy Brome (Bromus tectorum)

Tillered growth stage of annual cool-season grass weed as seen in fall and winter.  Softly pubescent leaves and sheaths, prominent membranous ligule, and glabrous nodes.  Leaf blade have grayish cast due to pubescence and sheaths are whitish.
