Downy Brome (Bromus tectorum)

Plant in heading stage as seen April to May, up to 2 ft. tall.  Leaf blades 2- to 8- inches long, 1/4 inches wide, with pubescence on both surfaces; sheath pubescent, closed on lower leaves.  Seed head panicle, flexuous and drooping.
