Flixweed (Descurainia sophia)

Raceme inflorescence of flixweed as seen in April and May.  Yellow flowers, 4 petals about 1/4 inch long, sepals longer than petals.  Fruit a long narrow silique (pod-like), ascending at right angles to the stem on 1/2 inch long pedicels.
