Shepherdspurse (Capsella bursa-pastoris)

Flowering plant 1/2 to 2 ft. tall as seen in April and May.  Leaves simple, basal leaves oblong and lobed, leaves on upper stem lanceolate to linear, margins entire and with clasping leaf bases.   Flowers white and fruit heart-shaped.
