DESCRIPTION | |
Germination: | April-September. |
Reproduction: | By seed, July-October. |
Stems: | Whitish, erect or decumbent, highly branched, usually no hair or fuzz. |
Leaves: | Simple ovate to linear, 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches long, no hair or fuzz. |
Flower/ Inflorescence: |
In short-dense axillary clusters, rigid bracts, twice as long as flowers. |
Fruit: | Seed black, shiny, lens-shaped, with wrinkles when dry, seed 1/16 inch in diameter. |
FOUND: |
Central and western counties. |
CONTROL: |
Small plants can be controlled with BUTYRAC 200 and PURSUIT in newly planted spring stands and in thinning stands. |
