Little Barley (Hordeum pusillum)

Flowering stage as seen in April to May, up to 1 1/2 ft. tall, leaf blade 1 1/2-5 inches long and 1/8 inch wide, glabrous or pubescent and often sandpapery feeling, auricles small.  Seed head a dense spike-like raceme.
