DESCRIPTION                                                                 

    Germination:

From late summer to Early Fall.

    Reproduction:

Seeds maturing in June.

    Stems:

Up to 4 feet tall.

    Leaves:

No hair on blade or sheath, auricle 1/8 inch long.

Flowers/
Inflorescence:

Spikelets in spike head.

Fruit:

Seeds, thresh free of lemma and palea.

FOUND:

Statewide.

CONTROL:

Highly competitive with seedling alfalfa. Control in new stands with POAST PLUS or SELECT.
