Lugano, Switzerland
On May 14 we went to Lugano, Switzerland and it was a rainy morning. By noon the skys had cleared and we took a funicular to the top of the mountain in town. It provided a fantastic view of the city, valley, and lake.
After we left Lugano we went to see the Colossus of San Carlo Borromeo. It is a massive copper statue, erected between 1614 and 1698, near Arona, Italy. The church across the street was different from many that we went into.
We went to our new rooms in a motel that was adjacent to Lake Majorie. It was another older motel but the view was impressive. The park across the street was a nice place to stroll along the lake shore.
