| Blue-curls is an upright annual that reaches three feet in height and has soft, sticky hairs. It can be found in various soil types of the Edwards Plateau and the South Texas Plains. The leaves are up to 4 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. The blue flowers are found in coiled clusters that uncurl as the flowers bloom. Blue-curls blooms from March to May. The leaves are occasionally eaten by white-tailed deer, cattle, bobwhite quail, and Rio Grande turkeys. | |
