Vegetative plants.  Key characteristics: leaves are deeply cut and on long petioles forming a rosette.  Both leaves and stems are hairy.

Flowering plant.  Flowers vary in many colors.

Seed are oblong with a rough-textured surface and approximately 2mm long.

Life cycle: winter annual.
