Common Mullein

First year rosette.  Key characteristics: the densely hairy leaves have a gray-green color and a "flannel-like" texture.

Flowers.  Key characteristics: yellow flowers are borne on long, cylindrical stalks in the plant's second year of growth.

Life cycle: biennial.
